As the cold weather approaches, please remember these winter safety tip: Make sure all heating systems are clean and free of debris and that your CO/Smoke detector is working.

A friendly reminder to all...

Please remember to wear your seat belts while in a vehicle whether you're the driver or passenger. Seat belts do save lives.

If you're the driver, please obey the posted speed limits and watch for traffic hazards such as slower moving or stopped vehicles.

Please don't drink and drive, have a designated driver. Statistics show that 1 in every 50 min someone dies from this each year. 

Please NEVER forget your children in the backseat. This year more the 23 heatstroke related deaths from children being left in a hot car.

Check your smoke detectors once a month and replace the batteries every  year.

Have an emergency plan in place and practise it twice a year with the members of your household.

If you have young children, please make sure they know their address and parents name, as well as what to do should an emergency arise.
